Yin

60 - 75 mins

Yin yoga is a slow-paced and gentle style of yoga that focuses on long-held stretches and deep relaxation. In a typical yin yoga class, you'll hold passive poses for several minutes at a time, or a gentle flow paced, allowing the body to slowly release tension and stress. These stretches primarily target the connective tissues and joints, helping to increase flexibility and mobility. Yin yoga is also a great way to cultivate mindfulness and inner awareness, as you'll be encouraged to observe and accept whatever sensations arise in the body and mind. Some of our Yin sessions comes with pranayama practise & sound healing at the end of the classes, expect to leave feeling deeply relaxed and rejuvenated. Classes may include props such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks to support the body in the poses. Yin yoga is suitable for all levels, including beginners.

Vinyasa

60 - 75 Mins

Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic style of yoga that connects breath with movement, that incorporates fluid, continuous movement to create a flowing, energizing practice. In a typical vinyasa yoga class, you'll flow through a series of poses, moving from one to the next with each inhale and exhale. This creates a continuous, meditative flow that helps to build strength, flexibility, stamina and balance in the body, while also calming the mind. Dynamic yoga may include elements of both traditional yoga poses as well as dynamic movement and functional fitness exercises. Expect to work up a sweat and leave feeling energized and centered. Classes may vary in intensity and complexity, making it accessible for both beginners and experienced yogis.

Restorative

60 - 75 mins

Restorative yoga is a style of yoga that focuses on improving joint range of motion, flexibility, and functional movement patterns. In a typical restorative yoga class, you'll move through a series of exercises and poses that target specific areas of the body, such as the hips, shoulders, and spine. These movements are often slow and deliberate, allowing you to tune into your body and explore your range of motion with greater awareness. Restorative yoga also incorporates elements of strength training and myofascial release to help improve overall mobility and prevent injury. Expect to leave feeling more open, supple, and aligned. Classes may be suitable for all levels, but some prior yoga experience may be helpful.

Hatha

60 - 75 Mins

Hatha yoga is a traditional style of yoga that focuses on the physical postures (asanas) and breath control (pranayama) to create a balanced, harmonious connection between the body and mind. In a typical hatha yoga class, you'll move through a series of static poses, holding each for several breaths to deepen the stretch and build strength. Hatha yoga is often described as a gentle, meditative practice, as it emphasizes mindful movement and breath awareness. It is a great way to increase flexibility, build core strength, and reduce stress. Classes may also include relaxation and meditation techniques to promote overall well-being. Hatha yoga is suitable for all levels, including beginners.

Ashtanga

75 mins

Ashtanga yoga is a dynamic and physically demanding style of yoga that follows a specific sequence of postures in a set order. In a typical Ashtanga yoga class, you'll move through a fix sequence through series of poses that are linked together with each inhale and exhale, creating a continuous flow of movement and breath. This practice focuses on building strength, flexibility, and stamina, while also cultivating mental clarity and focus. Ashtanga yoga is a rigorous practice that emphasizes proper alignment and precise movement. The traditional practice includes a set sequence of poses that become progressively more challenging, allowing you to develop your practice over time. Expect to work up a sweat and leave feeling energized and invigorated. Our Modified Primary Series Ashtanga yoga class is suitable for those who are looking for a physically demanding practice, but a little less rigorous than the traditional one. MPS  will be a led class with a focus on a different primary pose every week, as well as showing how to modify certain pose

Inversion

60 - 75 Mins

Inversion yoga is a style of yoga that focuses on postures that bring the head below the heart, such as headstand, shoulderstand, and handstand. Inversion yoga can be a challenging and exhilarating practice, as it requires both physical strength and mental focus. In a typical inversion yoga class, you'll move through a series of postures that help to build strength, stability, and balance in the body, while also promoting greater circulation and lymphatic drainage. Inversions are also believed to have a calming and energizing effect on the mind and nervous system. Expect to leave feeling invigorated and refreshed. Inversion yoga is generally not recommended for beginners, and it is important to work with a qualified teacher who can guide you safely through the practice. It is also important to approach inversions with patience, respect, and a willingness to let go of fear and expectation.

Backbend

60 - 75 mins

Backbend yoga is a style of yoga that focuses on postures that open and extend the spine, promoting greater flexibility, strength, and mobility in the back, chest, and shoulders. In a typical backbend yoga class, you'll move through a series of postures that involve backward bending of the spine, such as upward facing dog, camel pose, and wheel pose. These poses are often held for several breaths to deepen the stretch and increase spinal mobility. Backbend yoga is also a great way to counteract the effects of prolonged sitting and poor posture, which can lead to tension and pain in the back and shoulders. Expect to leave feeling more open, relaxed, and energized. Classes may be suitable for all levels, but some prior yoga experience may be helpful. It is important to work with your body and avoid overexertion when practicing backbends.
